Luxury Vinyl- Ideal for your floors
Are you looking for a quality floor to replace your own? Then look at luxury vinyl flooring. It is an easy-to-clean material that is pet-proof and childproof, and spill-proof. It comes in two types, tiles and planks, LVT and LVP.
Composition
Today’s technology has yielded a product that has several layers to it that has many benefits. The vinyl is composed of several layers pressed together with a three-dimensional image on them. This is the design layer. Then a topcoat is laid over the design layer to protect it. Some manufacturers even put a protective layer over the top layer to prolong the life of the vinyl. Most luxury vinyl is 8 millimeters thick, but you can get up to 20 millimeters thick if you want to extend the floor's life. It also has a core layer and backing layer that resists moisture, scratches, and dents.
Waterproof
LVP and LVT flooring are made up of either a wood composite material or a stone composite material. These materials mimic what the wood and stone look and feel like underfoot. The wood composite has an extra foaming material to make it a little more comfortable. Both can be exposed for a long time to water without any change or degradation. So it won't expand, swell, or sustain any damage from the water. The lifetime of the vinyl is not harmed.
Attractiveness
The design layer is made up of a three-dimensional picture. It looks so exacting that you can see tiny details in the wood and stone design. If it is wood planks, then the flooring is micro-beveled and embossed to give it an aged look.
Installation
LVP and LVT flooring can be installed with no attachment to the subflooring as a floating floor. The vinyl plank flooring and tiles go together like a jigsaw and create a tight seal over the subfloor. If necessary, padding can be placed down to provide extra comfort and cushion. It also will reduce the ambient noise in the room.
